“Our guide, Ömer, was quite good, but the overall tour was fairly so-so. It’s basically the Red Tour put together in about one day but it felt like we didn’t have too much time in any one place to really appreciate it. The other thing is that Cappadocia is more or less a tourist playground, with nearly everything catered to the tourist, so it was hard to feel connected to what we were seeing. In this respect, the trip to the ceramics workshop was different, and a nice little highlight.”
